G.I.R.L. Newsletter Issue #76 *Resurrection Sunday*

Happy Resurrection Sunday!

   Hello Everyone!

     On this day that is called Easter, let us remember our true Hope and Purpose.  It is not about bunnies, candy, or eggs, it is about our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

     Whether or not you choose to celebrate Easter, Passover, or nothing at all, I pray that today you will feel the Savior's deep love for you and remember all that He has done.

     He shed His blood on that cross so we could be free, so our sins could be washed away.  There is nothing that we could do to take away our shame and guilt.  Animal sacrifices could not do it.  We needed a spotless and sinless Lamb - Jesus Christ!

     Don't let this day end without making things right with God.  He is waiting for you with open arms.  Accept His love for you today.

Love & Prayers,
Deborah Allyn

G.I.R.L. Newsletter Issue #75 SPECIAL VALENTINE MESSAGE

Valentine's Day.  What a wondrous day of love and celebration.  To some though it is a day of tears and regret.  It brings back memories of relationships broken, or the lack of relationships.  Others on this day may be filled with the joy of new found love.  Wherever you may be in this wide range of emotions, it is important to remember where our fulfillment is found.  We will never find true fulfillment on this earth.  That is something that can only be found in our relationship with Jesus Christ.  Wherever you are at this Valentine's Day, on a dinner date with the love of your life, or at home on the couch with your dog, remember that only Jesus Christ can fill the longing that is in your heart!

The Lord has appeared of old to me, saying:
“Yes, I have loved you with an everlasting love;

Therefore with lovingkindness I have drawn you."
Jeremiah 31:3

G.I.R.L. Issue #74

Greetings!

     Last month I celebrated the 6 year anniversary of sending out G.I.R.L. Newsletter.  I am so very thankful for the opportunity God has given me to share with you each month.
     As a new year is approaching I feel that God may be wanting to do something different with this newsletter.  I am not quite sure yet what that is or exactly what it will look like, but something will be changing.
     For the time being I will be taking a break from writing the newsletter.  As I continue to write I may still post something on the blog ( http://girlnewsletter.blogspot.com ) or send out an occasional newsletter, but it will not be every month.

     Please still feel free to email me if you are in need of prayer, or need someone to talk to.

     I shall close this chapter with the following passage of Scripture.

Ephesians 6:10-20

10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. 11 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. 13 Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
14 Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, 15 and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; 16 above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. 17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; 18 praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints— 19 and for me, that utterance may be given to me, that I may open my mouth boldly to make known the mystery of the gospel, 20 for which I am an ambassador in chains; that in it I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.

G.I.R.L. Newsletter Issue #72

We Give You Thanks

Bible Verses:

  Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.
James 5:16

The Lord is far from the wicked,
But He hears the prayer of the righteous.
Proverbs 15:29

 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God;  and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
Philippians 4:6-7

Devotion:
GOD ANSWERS PRAYER!  Sometimes it may feel like He is taking His time, but He hears us and is at work even when we can not see.  A situation may seem so impossible that nothing can change it, but keep pressing on, keep praying, keep seeking God about it.  He can do such wondrous things that we can not even imagine.  Just recently I've had an answer to prayer that my family and I had been waiting to happen for a long time.  I just want to encourage you not to give up hope for what you are praying for, whether that is a sick family member, someone who is unsaved, a job situation, whatever it may be.  Don't lose hope! Keep the faith!  Your answer is coming.

Love & Prayers,
Deborah Allyn

Holy Spirit - Jesus Culture

Bible Verses:

 For do I now persuade men, or God? Or do I seek to please men? For if I still pleased men, I would not be a bondservant of Christ.
Galatians 1:10

Your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, “This is the way, walk in it,” Whenever you turn to the right hand or whenever you turn to the left. Isaiah 30:21

But as we have been approved by God to be entrusted with the gospel, even so we speak, not as pleasing men, but God who tests our hearts.  For neither at any time did we use flattering words, as you know, nor a cloak for covetousness—God is witness.
1 Thessalonians 2:4-5

Devotion:
    Our world puts a lot of expectations on us.  Everything from where we should go to college, how we should dress, what kind of car we should drive, to what we should eat!  Sometimes it can be difficult to remember that the only person we need to please is our Heavenly Father.  It doesn't matter what the world thinks about what we are doing, all that matters is that we are following God and doing what He wants us to - even when those around us don't understand and think it's strange.  When our goal in life is to honor God and live for Him, He will bless our endeavors.

Love & Prayers,
Deborah Allyn

Love Came Down - Kari Jobe

This month I would like to share a Psalm with you.  I pray that it blesses and encourages you!

Psalm 91

He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High
Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
I will say of the Lord, “He is my
refuge and my fortress;
My God, in Him I will trust.”

Surely He shall deliver you from the snare of the fowler
And from the perilous pestilence.
He shall
cover you with His feathers,
And under His wings you shall take
refuge;
His truth shall be your shield and buckler.
You
shall not be afraid of the terror by night,
Nor of the arrow that flies by day,
Nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness,
Nor of the destruction that lays waste at noonday.

A thousand may fall at your side,
And ten thousand at your right hand;
But
it shall not come near you.
Only with your eyes shall you look,
And see the reward of the wicked.

Because you have made the Lord, who is my refuge,
Even the Most High, your dwelling place,
10
No evil shall befall you,
Nor shall any plague come near your dwelling;
11 For He shall give His angels charge over you,
To keep you in all your ways.
12 In their hands they shall bear you up,
Lest you dash your foot against a stone.
13 You shall tread upon the lion and the cobra,
The young lion and the serpent you shall trample underfoot.

14 “Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore I will deliver him;
I will set him on high, because he has known My name.
15 He shall call upon Me, and
I will answer him;
I will be with him in trouble;
I will deliver him and honor him.
16 With long life I will satisfy him,
And show him My salvation.”

Love & Prayers,
Deborah Allyn
